Ingredients

Scale

Crescent Dough

  • 1 package of crescent roll dough (buttery, flaky base)

Seafood Filling

  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1 cup fresh crab meat
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp fresh herbs (parsley or chives), minced
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Seafood Filling: Finely chop the cooked shrimp and fresh crab meat. In a bowl, combine the seafood with cream cheese, shredded cheese, minced herbs, garlic powder, onion powder, lemon juice, salt, and pepper. Mix until fully combined and creamy.
  2. Preheat the Oven: Set your oven to 375°F (190°C) so it’s ready to bake your crescent bombs to golden perfection.
  3. Assemble the Crescent Bombs: Unroll the crescent dough onto a clean flat surface and separate the triangles. Spoon a generous amount of the seafood filling onto the wider end of each triangle. Carefully roll the dough towards the point, sealing the edges to trap the filling inside.
  4. Bake to Golden Perfection: Place the stuffed crescent rolls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet with space between each. Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes or until the dough is golden brown and puffed up.
  5. Cool and Serve: Allow the crescent bombs to cool for a few minutes to let the filling set slightly before serving. Enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Notes

  • Pat the shrimp and crab dry before mixing to prevent sogginess.
  • Use a little water on dough edges to seal and prevent filling leaks.
  • Do not overfill to avoid bursting during baking.
  • Brush melted butter on dough before baking for extra golden crust.
  • Make the filling a day ahead for deeper flavors and quicker prep.
